Tax reporting application audit

Independent financial audit of a named tax reporting application — returns, schedules, and the evidence that supports each material line.

Who this is for

Finance leads, owners, and external bookkeepers who are preparing (or have lodged) a tax reporting application and want an independent reading before the next filing date, board review, or Revenue Department conversation.

Result you receive

A written audit pack covering the scoped application: material findings ranked by severity, mismatches between figures and supporting documents, open questions that still need management answers, and a short closing call to walk through priorities.

What is included

  • Kickoff to lock periods, form types (for example P.P.30, P.N.D.50, withholding), and materiality thresholds
  • Review of the draft or lodged application against ledgers, invoices, payroll extracts, and prior-period returns
  • Working-paper notes that tie each material adjustment or observation to a source page
  • Findings memo in plain English with suggested remediation steps
  • One clarification round after you respond to open questions

What is excluded

  • Preparing the original return from scratch (we can refer you to a filing accountant)
  • Representation before the Revenue Department as counsel
  • Audit of statutory financial statements outside the tax reporting package
  • Ongoing bookkeeping or payroll processing

Provider and approach

Engagements are led by Data Work Path practitioners in Chiang Mai who work exclusively on tax reporting applications. We do not sell software; we read filings the way a careful reviewer would — with the forms, the numbers, and the paper trail in the same frame.

Process

  1. Intake — You send period list, form types, and a readiness note (draft vs lodged).
  2. Scoping call — We confirm access method, materiality, and delivery date.
  3. Fieldwork — Line review, sample testing of supporting documents, and issue logging.
  4. Findings — Memo delivered; optional walkthrough within five working days.

Timeline and place

Typical calendar span is two to four weeks depending on how complete the binders are and how many branches feed the return. Work happens at Level 6, 44 Chang Klan Road when documents stay on site, or through encrypted exchange when teams prefer remote review.

Preparation

Have the draft application, trial balance for the period, VAT control account, withholding schedules, and the prior comparable return ready. Flag known weak areas (cash sales, intercompany charges, fringe benefits) in your intake note.

Constraints

We pause fieldwork if key ledgers are unavailable for more than three working days. Scope changes that add new form types are quoted before work resumes.

Fee basis

Fees are quote-based. Starting ranges appear on Rates. Complexity drivers include multi-branch consolidations, foreign-currency schedules, and incomplete supporting packs.

Next step

Request this engagement with your period and form list. We aim to reply within two business days with a draft scope.
