About Data Work Path
A Chiang Mai practice built around one discipline: the financial audit of tax reporting applications.
Origin
Data Work Path began when several Chiang Mai finance reviewers noticed the same pattern: tax reporting applications were being lodged with careful arithmetic and incomplete stories behind the numbers. Ledgers balanced; invoice folders did not. The practice formed to give local companies a place to send a filing package for an independent read — not a sales pitch for new software, not a general consulting retainer.
Mission
Help finance teams file tax reporting applications they can defend. We slow down at the points where forms, ledgers, and evidence diverge, then write findings that a busy controller can act on before the next due date.
How we work
Engagements stay small enough that the people who scope the work also open the binders. We prefer named periods and named form types over open-ended “tax health checks.” When documents live in Chiang Mai, we meet at Level 6, 44 Chang Klan Road. When teams are spread across provinces, we work from structured file rooms and scheduled clarification calls.
Values in practice
- Specificity over slogans — findings name the line, the document, and the period.
- Respect for filing calendars — we publish a delivery date at scoping and treat it as a commitment.
- Clear edges — if a request belongs to bookkeeping or legal representation, we say so early.
Relationship to clients
Most clients arrive through another accountant’s referral or after a year when a return felt rushed. We are comfortable working beside your existing bookkeeper; our role is review of the tax reporting application, not replacement of day-to-day posting.
Thailand context
Thai tax reporting applications carry local form conventions, language mixes in supporting documents, and timing pressures around Songkran and year-end. Our calendars and sampling methods are built around those realities rather than imported templates from other jurisdictions.
